Doghouse Arts is dedicated to showcasing our love for our beloved pets through traditional and digital artistic mediums.

Doghouse Arts' photographer, designer and artist, Caroline Winata, was born in Indonesia and is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She is a classically trained artist and designer who works in both traditional and digital mediums.

She studied photography independently in Jakarta, Indonesia and as an apprentice to various noted photojournalists and fashion photographers. At the age of 15, she continued her photography training at Stanford University and later on at Academy of Art University, San Francisco. At AAU, Caroline was constantly on the president's honor roll, graduated with distinctions, won 25 awards and earned her BFA in New Media in 3 years. She is currently pursuing a MFA at AAU and her work has been featured in numerous galleries as well as earning more awards along the way. Caroline is graduating in summer of 2005 and has been nominated for valedectorian. Armed with a business degree on top of her art achievements, she brings marketability to her designs and achieves sensible solutions.

Aside from photography, Caroline is interested and trained in graphic and web design, typography, motion graphics for both video and web, printmaking, fine letterpress printing, and traditional bookmaking and binding. Caroline's fine art books have gathered press and awards. She uses both digital photography techniques and traditional film medium. Digital photography allows her to capture the essence of our pets in high resolution with a fast turn around.

Currently, her agility photography have been featured in numerous websites. She has also been published in several dog magazines such as CleanRun, Dogsport, AKC Gazette, and various other breed publications. She is a staff photographer at Agility Action and contributes regularly to multiple dog sport magazines.

Caroline is actively involved in volunteering and fostering animals for various animal rescue groups in the area. For this reason, she is open to working with individual animal rescue groups and will volunteer photography services. She is also involved in various competitive canine performance events with her own 4 dogs. Aside from photographing agility trials, you can also find her competing with her beloved Portuguese Water Dogs. She dedicates this site to her cat, Soap, and thanks all her friends for being her inspiration and driving force behind Doghouse Arts. And thank you to all the animals for revealing their spirit to her.
